Come and experience the wonders of Namibia for yourself on this incredible 10-day journey. Immerse yourself in the friendly local culture, have your breath taken away by the colour contrast of Sossusvlei Red Sand Dunes and the ice-blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
Travelling through Namibia, you will have spectacular scenery and vistas. On this trip, we visit the Namib Naklauft Park, Swakopmund, Damaraland, Etosha National Park and the Waterberg Plateau regions and visit all highlights in each region. This safari offers a very good balance between scenery, culture and wildlife.

Itinerary

Day 1
Windhoek - Sesriem/Namib Naukluft Park, Namibia

I will pick you up from your accommodation at 08:00. Today we travel from Windhoek to the edge of the Namib Desert, passing through incredible scenic mountainous landscapes where game such as Springbok, Ostrich, Gemsbok, Zebra and many more may be seen, to a small base camp on the edge of the oldest desert in the world, the Namib. We visit Sesriem Canyon and then to Elim Dune to view a wonderful sunset before returning to our Lodge for what you call a culinary delight.

Day 2
Sesriem - Sossusvlei/Deadvlei - Sesriem, Namibia

Undoubtedly one of the major highlights of your tour! We have an early start to watch the sunrise over the world-famous Dune 45, have breakfast, and then make our way to the world-famous Sossusvlei where we do a guided desert walk visiting Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. You may climb some of the highest sand dunes in the world, take unique panoramic pictures, or just reflect in wonder on how this ghostly place came to be.

Day 3
Sesriem - Solitaire - Walvis Bay - Swakopmund, Namibia

After a hearty cooked breakfast, we travel across the gravel plains of the Namib Naukluft Park with incredible scenic landscapes. Keep a close lookout for the Harman Mountain Zebra, Springbok, Orix, and Ostrich or even Brown Hyena. We stop in the one-horse town of Solitaire and make sure to visit their local bakery and coffee shop to sample their famous apple strudel pie.

Our next destination is Walvis Bay where we will enjoy lunch next to the lagoon which is frequently visited by thousands of flamingos. A short scenic drive along the ocean takes us to Swakopmund, our destination for the next two nights. After settling in you will be given a presentation of all the optional activities and also an orientation of the town.

Day 4
Swakopmund, Namibia

Today you have a free day to enjoy some of the numerous adventure sports that Swakopmund has to offer. Quad biking in the sand dunes should not be missed, as well as viewing splendors of German architecture with countless cafes and bars offering both German and Namibian hospitality. Shopping is a unique experience, visit the crystal and gemstone museum to buy those special gifts, or walk on the empty beach, which makes this beautiful coastal oasis a gem in itself.

Day 5
Swakopmund - Cape Cross - Spitzkoppe - Brandberg, Namibia

Leaving Swakopmund behind our Journey takes us along the Skeleton Coast to the seal colony at Cape Cross via the fishing village of Henties Bay. From Cape Cross, we
head to the famous Namibian landmark, Spitzkoppe. We have time to explore the area on foot and view the local San paintings. We then head to our Lodge not far from Spitzkoppe with breathtaking views over this beautiful area. To your right, you will see Mount Hohenstein. In front of you across a wide valley dotted with ancient Camel Thorn trees, is Mount Kainachab. A little further to the left is the famous Spitzkoppe. End a thrilling day with a beautiful African sunset under a perfect star-studded African sky.

Day 6
Brandberg - Damaraland - Twyfelfontein, Namibia

We stop at Brandberg, Namibia’s biggest mountain and home to the famous White Lady bushman painting. We visit Twyfelfontein in the late afternoon, where some of the most spectacular rock-engravings and paintings in Namibia can be seen, believed to be the work of San Bushman living here thousands of years ago.

Day 7
Twyfelfontein - Okaukuejo Rest Camp - Etosha National Park, Namibia

We depart this magical place and head for Etosha National Park stopping off at the Petrified Forest and the Finger Klip Rock Formation. As soon as we enter the Park our game drive begins. After checking in at Okaukuejo Rest Camp where we spend the night you have enough time to relax, make sure to visit the floodlit waterhole at Okaukuejo, it might be one of your highlights of this safari.

Etosha is ranked as one of Africa’s greatest game parks and is home to a large population of animals. The saline Etosha Pan, which dominates the park, stretches for 120km and is a sanctuary to the largest population of black rhino in the world. After settling into our lodge we take an afternoon game drive through this expansive park.

Day 8
Okaukuejo - Halali - Namutoni, Etosha, Nzamibia

After an early start, we spent the day exploring Etosha National Park. We stop at Halali for lunch and a siesta and also make sure to visit the waterhole at Halali. We continue our game drive stopping at some of the waterholes along the pan’s edge towards Namutoni Rest Camp where we will spend the night.

Day 9
Etosha National Park - Okonjima Guest Farm,Namibia.

This Morning we embark on a final morning game drive in Etosha National Park before making our way to the Waterberg Plateau Park where we spent the night at Okonjima Guest Farm. Nestled among the “Omboroko Mountains” lies Okonjima – a Herero name meaning “Place of the baboons”. Okonjima is also home to The Africat Foundation. The Africat Foundation is the ‘World’s Largest Cheetah and Leopard Rescue and Release Programme’. Africat has saved more than a 1000 carnivores since 1993. 86% have been released back into the wild.

Day 10
Okonjima Guest Farm - Windhoek

After breakfast, we head south to the capital city of Namibia, Windhoek. En-route we stop at the craft markets in Okahandja. We arrive in Windhoek in the early/late afternoon where the tour will end.
